How do I register?
The easiest way is to register online. Click here to get to the online form and you will be guided through the process. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email.
How much is the registration fee?
The registration fee is $40. Be sure to register early before this price increases! This fee is not tax deductible and does not apply towards your fundraising minimum.
How do I confirm my registration?
You will receive an email confirming your registration. Or you can click on the “Donate” button above and type in your name. If you show up as a participant, then you are officially registered.
How many people are needed to enter a team?
A team may consist of any amount of members.
When is the Climb of Hope Run?
Saturday September 17, 2011. Pledge sheet drop off and bag check opens at 8:30. Race waves start at 10am.
Do I have to wear a rock 'n' roll costume to participate?
Costumes are encouraged but not required, and those that come out dressed to impress have a chance to win some rockin' prizes!
Is the public allowed?
Yes. Come check it out and cheer on the runners and walkers! If you are a participant, invite your friends and family to cheer you on and join the party.
How will the event be timed?
With your package you'll be provided with a timing chip band. Both runners and walkers will use this system to ensure fast and accurate results.
Do I have to wear a timing chip?
No. But if you don’t, you won’t receive an official time - and you can’t win if you don’t clock an official time.
Are bikes, skateboards, or rollerblades allowed?
Nope. For safety reasons, please keep these items off the course.
What if I get injured during the event?
Medical personnel will be available throughout the event should you need assistance.
Who does the event benefit?
The Rock n' Roll Climb of Hope Run benefits the cancer research and care at the Cross Cancer Institute of Edmonton.
Is there a fundraising minimum?
Yes. Each runner or walker is required to raise at least $100. But that’s easy - we make sure of it! When you sign up we’ll give you all the tools you need to reach out and tap potential donors. If you don’t raise the minimum amount you won’t be able to participate.
Can I donate online?
Yes. To make a donation, simply click on the “Donate Now” button above and type in the name of the participant you want to sponsor. Then, you’ll be directed to that participant’s Personal Page.
Will my credit card information be secure?
Yes. We use SSL encryption techniques to protect all your credit card and personal information. Credit card numbers are not stored in our database.
